Together, we will spend 75-90 minutes in conscious rest. This class is a combination of restorative yoga, yoga nidra and ends with a sound bowl. As a society, we spend most of our days busy 'doing' - we are driven to produce results. This class gives the opportunity to slow down in conscious rest - deactivating the "fight or flight" stress response and allowing the "relaxation" response to take over.
Devoting time to slow down and let the nervous system find equilibrium is important for reducing stress and anxiety, reducing fatigue, improving sleep, building the immune system, healing the body and the mind, and replenishing our bodies.
Class is $35 and includes a journal, which is used at the end of class to capture any thoughts or visions you experience. Please wear socks and dress in layers. Bring a blanket for comfort.
