Dear Williston and friends of Dr. Rex and Carole Wiederanders:
A decade ago, Dr. Wiederanders and his late wife donated a large collection of artwork to the James Memorial Art Center and the Williston community. In September, the James will display that recently framed Wiederanders Collection. To commemorate the event, the James' Board of Directors will host a special reception on Friday, September 11, 2015, from 7 to 9 pm. This reception at the James is free and open to the public.
During the event, the Wiederanders' friends and musicians Tim Ritter and D.W. Groethe will give a performance. At 8 pm there will be a short presentation about Rex and Carole, their CR Gallery, and the art they brought to and shared with the Williston community. They started the gallery and opened it to the public because they, in Carole's words, "wanted to expose the residents of Williston to different forms of artwork and to broaden the appreciation of how different artists view the world."
The James is continuing to share the appreciation with Williston's residents. To help us honor the Wiederanders and their active involvement in our community, please share this invitation with your organization and friends. Complimentary refreshments will be served during the reception.
Sincerely,
Deana Novak, President, James Memorial Preservation Society
